But why would he keep taking in hundreds of animals every year when he is 5 years behind?? And why would he not just be honest and tell someone that he's 5 years behind and it might be a few years before he can get started on their mount?? If he is 70 years old there is a chance of him passing on at any time and if that were to happen who knows what would happen to your animal??

I can't speak for Rafi but I was told he was behind on his turkeys and it would take some time....he has all his animals numbered and written down so losing it if he passes wouldn't be an obstacle....he isn't five years behind either on deer which he specializes in (about a year).....he is an award winning turkey taxidermist and it takes him awhile.....but as previously stated I will wait his work is priced better than any other taxidermist in the area fir the work he does....

Is 5 years the norm with this fellow? Have a friend who took him a deer some time in 2010 and dont thank he got it back yet. have to ask him about it. anybody not got a deer back from him? would thank if much over a year somethings not right.

5 years is awhile ......he is usually pretty quick on most stuff ....I am sure he will take care of you when its done.....benny is a hood person and my book and will make things right....
not sure what a punk is or a hood person but what would be pretty quick on a deer?

sounds like the guy needs to hire some help and get things caught up. Its not that difficult of a concept. If it was me I would go get my stuff and take it somewhere else. Would you leave your truck for a week at the shop to get an oil change?

I just learned of this site and the comments you made about Benny this week.First off,if you have a problem with him,go and see him yourself,and I'm sure he will do whatever needs to be done to fix it.As far as his character goes,there is not a more honest and caring man in the world.He always puts friends and family first.You may have a problem getting your bird back,but this whole thing just doesn't sound right to me.I have known him for 50+ years,and I have a home full of work he has done.His work is A NUMBER ONE,and yes it takes a while to get it back,but it is well worth the wait.He is 75 years old,and does all the work by himself,and you don't know the many,many nights he is working until 1 or 2 in the morning,plus in the past few years taking care of relatives that have been gravely ill.Before you judge a man's character,you need to know the man yourself,and do what he does.You have a whole chain of crap started now with your comments,and there is freedom of speech.You can say what you want,but where I come from you see the man face to face,not post chicken crap comments about him.I can give you hundreds of names of very satisfied cutomers from all over Tennessee and other states as well,that will tell you otherwise.As for yor comments,and the trickle down effect.If it loks like chicken crap,and smells like chicken crap,then it must be.

Well seeing how old this thread is.....
Sounds like some unhappy customers.... Maybe he needs to work on his customer relations or something.... Maybe instead of stringing customers along.... he needs to wrap up business and close shop to take care of ill family members. At some point you have to look at your priorities.
I don't know this guy from Adam.... but you either stick to your word or be in contact with customers about the progress/problems... Unhappy customers is bad for business no matter what the reason.... communication is number 1.
