Just got the new rig, it launches at 345fps, which is much faster than the average compound.

I like mechanicals, so which one would be best for the faster launching crossbow?

Would seriously suck to have the mechanical blades prematurely open at launch.

My favorite mechanicals are the NAP Shockwaves, but I'm afraid the O-ring wouldn't hold with the much higher launch shock from the crossbow.

Which ones do y'all use??

If I was to ever start using expandable broadheads then it would be the Spitfire because of all of the good reviews and tests Ive heard from them being shot from a crossbow.

Like buckmoss i'm planning on sticking with my muzzys.I used to shoot NAO i think they were with 2 o-rings and they were fine but, like mike243 said 1 shot was all i got out of them because of dirt and rocks.

sgtwebb, one thing I did with my broadheads (3-blade) was to align them with the fletching. To do this I purchased small rubber O-rings at the hardware store. I used them as washers when installing the broadhead. This allowed me to align the blades to the fletching and the broadhead be snug. I think this helps with broadhead flight problems.

buckmoss1, I agree with the muzzys. That is what I shoot. I shoot the 125 grain 3-blade ones. I know they are heavier than most people shoot from a crossbow, but they shoot great.

Wasp SST hammers in 100 grain - fixed.

Plan on trying the 100 grain Spitfires this year though.

Muzzy 100 grain 3 or 4 bladed (preferrably 4-bladed) or look at the Slick Tricks. I can guarantee you one thing - the blades will be open when needed \:D
