I like using a tire tube myself, tie the ends with cotton string, nylon string will slide off sometimes the cotton string will bite into the rubber inner tube, plus they are water proof, any tire store will give you discarded inner tubes, just cut to the length you want

Hmmm never thought of inner tube. R they a pain to get clean? Filled with sand?

I never had to clean one, I just leave them on the shooting bench, fill with any type sand, I used red in mine, it was my easiest access
