i had two hunters view climbing stand . i sold one and took the cables off one to replace the cables on the stand i sold , "just to be safe i didnt want anyone to get hurt" , i thought i would just buy me some new cables but i cant find them now . so in short i have a new climber with no cables , any sugguestions ?? i thought about making some out of log chain but not sure how that would work .

hunters view is all i know. found out the company went under in 2004 , but the stand i have has only been outside once or twice so its like brand new .just my luck lol

those had the coated cable that had a loop at the end for the snap pin to go through correct? i would just get some cable and make my own, only thing is findin some way to put the plastic coat on them

Sounds similar to the cables used in Gorilla stands. Maybe see if they would work.

Shrink wrap. Dad uses a api which has the chain style and his coating cracked and came off so we just replaced it with some bigger shrink wrap, and cut the whole for the pin in the wrap.

You can buy aircraft cable, the "plastic" wrapped style cable from industrial supply stores (Graybar, Airproducts, etc). You can also get the crimping tools from them too. I think I have even seen that type of cable at Ace Hardware.
