All of you gray beards probably know about this already but I am just amazed by the Sportsman's guides price on ladder stands. I have 4 of the basic 15ft ladder stands and they are great. If your a member they run $55 shipped to your door and take all of 15 minutes to assemble. I am not affiliated with the Guide in anyway but if someone is looking for cheap priced ladder stands, I have yet to find them brand new any cheaper. I also have a couple of the lock-ons, and also are very nice with the guide gear climbing sticks.
I have only been using them for a year so I dont know how they hold up over time, but so far A+.

They hold up just as well as the high dollar stands we have 3 different sportsman guide stands and they have been in the woods for 3 years now and still doing great.

If you are seeing stands under $100 and ESPECIALLY those under $75 they are chinese made! They claim TMA membership but I doubt it if you really dug into or a big liability suit was filed on them. They'd probably just fold and be another mfgr. in 6mths. Honestly the biggest reason American made stands cost 2-4 times what chinese stands cost is because 25+% of the cost is product liability insurance and the cost for domestic steel and labor.
NOT knockin em, I have a few roofs and blinds for my ladders that came from SG. Just lettin ya know why they are that much cheaper than most anything else on the market.
