I made a set like that last spring and really liked them. This weekend, cleaning the garage, they had fallen apart. I found the O rings in pieces. My guess is they overheated in the summer and broke. Be careful where you store them.

I'm going to re-build them using castration rings.

my problem is i want/need them about 6'6" or so,i would use them for squirrel hunting with my ruger pistol or rifle for that matter.been looking at store bought flimsy short less than 6'.like the lite weight but not the length on some.i dont set much when i want a limit of squirrels.shoot&scoot \:\)

you can buy 8 foot stakes at lowes and make your own for whatever height you need, just cut them to fit.
