Camo duct tape. I wondered what that stock had all over it. That explains it.

yeah rusted and duct tape goo all over it....it's a 30.06...the only reason i bought the gun for $100 before i even knew it was a weatherby was because it had a Leupold VariX III 4x10x40mm scope on it, which is worth well over $100 bucks.

I love the stock, but if it was me I would put an HS precision on it if there is one that fits.

HS is a brand of stock - Have owned several of them. Believe Remington used them on some of their rifles?

I love wood stocks, but on my hunting rifles, I use HS precisions and if I can I will upgrade to Mcmillan. I also change the triggers out to Timney.
