I have a tikka plastic stock that I am wanting to paint cause that black plastic is just ugly. I love wood but can't find a stock. I have seen others using Krylon paint but any advice would be appreciated.

I had my daughters trap gun painted with some real good metal flake auto paint. It is holding up real good so far.

Clean with rubbing alcohol. Scuff with scotch brute pad. Clean with alcohol again. Don't touch it with your your greasy hands. Rattle can color of choice.

Seal with FLAT clear-coat 3 to 5 coats. Allow plenty of dry time(I do 2 weeks in a warm garage).
Duracoat is tougher and more resistant to cleaning products, but if you seal it Krylon Fusion will hold up well if you are careful with the chemicals.
