I had placed my boat on 127 at a family members house. Guy calls last night and asked about it...he told me he would prolly call me back tomorrow morning. I told him I had to work but definatly call me and we would work something out...well I didnt know that the game was on literally. He calls me and I answer at work and he told me that he was on a game show that will be aired in october on HGtv. They are kinda doing the amazing race but with the yard sale and trying to see out of so much money who gets the better deals. He offered me a ridiculous amount for my little boat so he would get a great deal and I decline he said sorry we couldnt make a deal and hung up. Calls back and leaves a VM saying I can't quit on you I need this deal....I'll give you all the money in my pocket which was what I decided to take after I thought about it and agree but there again I was at work still and they needed to film it for the show. I told him I could have my dad up there acting like it was his he said great and they met and shot the footage 3 times when I pulled in which at that time dad says that I would deliver the boat to the check point because they was in a new chevy volt and I agreed to it...Not alot of spotlight but it will be cool to be on tv for a few minutes.
Can't wait October 16th HGtv more info to come!

Back in early July when my wife was in the ER, I ran across a casting call article in the local paper for that show. I thought my daughter and I could have played it well, but alas, we never got everything together to submit our application for the show. Too bad, since it turned out this weekend was pretty free for us. I hope to get to see it, but we don't have cable.
