Has anyone got the recipe for them home made hand warmers.
I figure its about time to start fixing up a few batches.
Sure some of the newer folks would like to give it a try too.
They will heat you up fer sure.

25g iron powder (filings or grindings) + 1 gram sodium chloride (table salt) in plastic bag & shake to mix.
Then add 1 tbsp vermiculite (or charcoal or sawdust) to bag & shake to mix. Store in a air tight jar until ready to use.
To activate, add 1 tsp (5ml) water, seal the bag tightly then squeezes & shake.
There are several formulas for Homemade Hand Warmer but this is the safest and has the most easily available materials. Commercial Hand Warmers are too cheap to bother with making one now but, should they not be available someday, you could make your own.

Nah thats not the one. I believe the one the OP might be talking about has pickle juice as one of it's ingredients. Makes them MUCH better. Kind of a turbo hand warmer if you will.
