I have gone through several designs of extendable saws for hunting and have to say that the Hooyman, is by far, the all around most functionable and best design on the hunting market. Gerber wins the prize for worst designed telescopic saw on the market.

Anyway, I managed to damage one of the joints on my Hooyman saw, admittingly, due to mis use on my part (hacking at limbs a little out of reach). I emailed Hooyman with some pictures of the damaged joint and asked if they would repair offered to pay for the repairs. They asked that I return the damaged saw and sent me a new on, free of charge, within one week.

With the questionable exception of the hardened saw teeth, which will not allow sharpening (though, you can buy replacement blades for $20) this is a excellent product and well worth the $70 if you do a lot of pruning and need a light weight, portable saw.
