My property is located in McNairy County. We have one field in a valley and the rest are on top of ridges. The most sunlite any of them gets is about 6-7 hours. Our soil is very sandy.
I bushhogged all of the fields, raked and broke the ground on Saturday and Sunday. I went to the Enville TN Coop Saturday to see about a lime buggy. They have lime, but no lime buggies. Only fertilizer buggies. I have not done any soil samples, so Im just going to lime all the fields after I find a lime buggy. Im hoping that the coop in Herderson will have a lime buggy. I need suggestions on how much lime to put down. I am also looking for suggestions as to what will grow well in sandy soil. I need something that I can plant this fall and I will start planning for what to plant in the spring.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Rob
