Hanging of 'Truck Nuts' Grows into a Free Speech Debate

\:D

On July 5, Virginia Tice, 65, from Bonneau, S.C. pulled her pickup truck into a local gas station with red, fake testicles dangling from the trailer hitch. The town's police chief, Franco Fuda, pulled up and asked her to remove the plastic testicles.
When she refused, he wrote her a $445 ticket saying that she violated South Carolina’s obscene bumper sticker law.

I think they are stupid looking and I immediately judge the driver of the vehicle when I see them. However, the government should not be regulating them.

I heard the fines are somewhat lenient on the blue versions.

They call I.C.E. for backup on the chrome ones.

I hope she takes it to court and wins...its no worse than flipping of an LEO or telling them where to go when you are stopped by them and being generally impolite...it may be wrong but its not illegal, so says the Federal Court system time after time after time..... freedom of speech takes on many forms and if the little old lady from SC wansts TruckNutz she should be able to buy them.
