At least for hickorys. Been looking for month on my daily running routes and have yet to see a hickory nut. Not sure if they are just late or if the crop failed in my area. It has me worried since season is only 3 weeks away. Anyone else seeing this.

I have 2 trees in my yard. A few nuts but very few. Squirrels cant leave them alone til they are ready. Every year they start sampling around the first of July. I have to look hard to see one now.

Squirrels are absolutely wearing out my Bird Feeders in the back yard. Gonna have to replace them, they are so chewed up.

Haven't paid much attention but this weekend in one of my plots I had a hickory tree that dropped some green nuts.

I have some, but not as many as last year. The good thing is, squirrels may be congregated in pockets instead of scattered.
