The first 5 minutes of this is a little uneventful, but it gets intense rather quickly. The driver is carrying a firearm in a "duty to inform" state, however is not given the opportunity to speak until well after 5 minutes of the traffic stop. When the officer is finally informed, he goes on a rampage even threatening to "execute" the offender with 10 rounds and "shoot him in the mouth."

Lesson here is, if you are pulled over in a "duty to inform" state, it might be best to inform the officer immediately no matter what the circumstances, even if the officer is ordering you to keep your mouth shut. Also, if you end up with a officer who is this angry, it is probably best just to keep your mouth shut.

Also, this thread is not anti-LEO, nor is the video in its intent, which is clearly stated that up front. It is however surprising that the officer would lose control like this when he is aware that the dashboard cam is running. I was also surprised that his partner, who seemingly remains calm and collected the entire time, did not intervene. He must have realized this was going to far.

Just read this Chief of Police response:

"The officer immediately being relieved of all duty. The incident has been referred to the Internal Affairs Bureau for what will be a complete and thorough investigation. As bad as the video indicates our officer's actions were, there is a due process procedure to follow."

I saw this over at http://www.ar15.com earlier. Glad to hear that the officer was relieved of duty. He seems like the kind of guy that would freak out and shoot someone.

Idiot cop. It comfirms my opinion of many police officers is the only difference between a cop and a criminal is the badge.

Not all police officers, but there is a bad element that makes them all look bad.

Sorry poser, I posted the same thing in the political forum, but I am glad the LEO was relieved of all duties. He needs to be terminated immediately.

Dang Rowdy, I was just getting ready to post that. \:D

uhhhh, there I go again. See, I don't know for certain that he beats his ole lady, or his dog or his kids. I was just-ah never mind. Maybe the rent-to-own people were doing a re-po on his couch that day. Who knows.

yeah, me and squarepants would have to have a Saturday without the badge after that.

but hey, criminals come in all shapes and sizes right, and uniforms too.

This thread is mistitled.

This isn't a mishap of any kind - it's an out of control idiot on a power trip.

I would guess this wasn't the 1st time his partner witnessed this type of behavior and decided to let him hang himself.

Dont let one A-Hole's actions form your opinion for all LEO's. I guess its a good thing all of you dont have video/audio on you at all times! He'll get whats coming to him.
