Now before you turn up your nose...you should try them. my son whipped them up. He is a vegetarian and cooks a bunch of wild things. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't. This time I thought he was off his rocker but I must say they sure are good...

Been making them for years if you're talking about what I think you're talking about.
Corn cakes, butter and maple syrup make a good winter breakfast along with some homemade bacon and Irish coffee.

They do sound like corncakes if that's what they are. We have them very often with chili or white beans.
