Any places, besides the typical tourists attractions, that are good?

Check for local license plates. I always ask hotel staff or store clerks where the best places are.

Drive about 30 mins east of there to Mexico Beach.. A little joint called Killer Seafood.. They only take cash by the way and they have weird hours, so call if you decide to go..

Flounders Chowder House--our favorite! We went there 2 or 3 times. Flounder Chowder was good, the grilled grouper was good, the chicken wings were good. Get the HUGE Key Lime Pie. \:\)

Surfburger was good.

Hemingways--it was ok.

Peg Leg Pete's was ok.

We've Got Crabs was good...get the Pina Colada Chesecake. \:\)

They are on the main drag (Via De Lune Drive).

I'm wanting to go back! \:\)

Forget Dockside. It was may favorite place to eat for years. I was there in June. Service was lousy, food bad, and drinks nothing in them but mix.
