How often do you change your oil? Recently I have changed mine at 5000 up from 300.

our company trucks run pretty much non stop, 5 to 7 days a week, 8 to 12 hrs days depending whats going on. our garage changes the oil between 5k and 6k. we keep our trucks to somewhere between 150k to 225k before trading them off. I figure if 5k is enough under those conditions, 5k is enough for my rides.

On my 19 year ols Silverado I have always changed it every 3000 miles, It still runs and looks great

I don't pay too much attention to the mileage. If its dirty, I change it, if its low, I add. That system has worked pretty good for 186,000 miles on my blazer.
