I make sliding windows with plexiglass. See attached.

Use 1/4" ply some wing nutts and bolts a drill and build the frame out of PVC. It is light easy to put together in the field and move if you need to. Build it in your garage or driveway. Cut the top a little wider than the frame so it wont leak on you from the edges. Get everything the way you want it and take it apart and xport to your hunting spot and put it up. PVC is cheap and a couple cans of spray paint and you are in buisness.
I have shelves and a heater stand in mine. It is great for kids and field or flat bottoms hunting. Costs about 30$ to build. even cheaper if you know a plumber. A few pices of plexi and some hinges and you are up town for windows.

That's a nice shooting house, I really like the hieght of it. I've built one and I kinda made a mess of it because I didn't have a good plan to start with. It is way too big, and the steps are real messed up. However, I plan to rectify my wroongs this summer.

simpler to just get odd size overstock windows from a supply house.

The inside of the house is 6x6, so it's plenty big for 2 hunters, usually it's me and my boy, he's 7 now, killed his 1'st last year at 6. I didn't have a good plan when I started, I set the poles at 8x8 and just decided that was too big, and coming in a couple feet all the way around made it much easier to actually build the house part, somewhere to stand you know. Last season was the first in the house, I had just the platform for 2 years, I just layed on the top in a sleeping bag and shot from the prone position, I felt kind of like a sniper. I've got about 380 yards of field out in front, it's about 100 yards wide, deer crossing all the time, thick woods on both sides and deep woods behind the house, windows on all sodes so 2 people can easily share a hunt, you watch 2 windows and I'll watch 2. I got propane heat and a propane cook thing I can heat beanie weanies, etc. I still mostly hunt from a treestand, but if I got my boy with me, or it's really cold, raining, windy, etc., nothing beats a shooting house.

I didn't even attempt to camo anything, black out inside walls, etc. I've never even had a deer look up there, I've killed 3 bucks in 2 years and can't tell you how many does, they just don't pay any attention to it. Of course they walk by barns, outbuildings, houses, corn cribs, etc all the time, why would they think twice about this?

Dont make the windows too narrow, your range of visisbility will drastically be hurt with small window opening. I knew a guy that built a house with narrow windows and there was a nice buck that came out basically under his stand. He could hear it but couldnt see it b/c of the windows, luckily it walked out far enough to where he could get a shot off. Needless to say, he cut the windows bigger the next day ;\)

I just leave openings wide enough that you can see below you but not too wide that you are overly exposed from a distance. I don't use sliding windows, but they are nice to keep the wind out when it is a really cold windy day, but I don't remember a day in several years in TN when it has been that cold. Plus, if they squeak, game over!

I made my windows hinged on the bottom and latched at the top. They fold down into the shooting house. IMO it is a liitle quieter than the sliders. Also single pane glass is much cheaper
than plexi-glass or lexan and will not yellow after a few years.

I have made sliders and hinged windows from the bottom, and I like the hinged ones a lot better. Just use one of those hooks on an eyeball things.
