Just finished listening to Herman on the 99.7fm streaming computer thing and I'm interested enough in what he had to say to go see him speak tonight. 5:30pm Town Square in Murfreesboro.
I think he did a pretty good job handling himself in the interview. Don't like the format though. DelJourno couldn't stop talking about himself long enough to let Herman answer half the time.

I think you can still park under city hall and walk to the square. That's what I used to do when I had to be in court for class. It's maybe a 5 minute walk if that.

Review.
The Rally was pretty much a rally as advertised.
Herman's views were
1. Follow the Constitution
2. Cut Taxes and spending
3. Make the US the most business friendly place in the world
4. Revamp the Fed to promote stability and NOT prop up the governments spending habits. The FED is being abused and tasked with 2 opposing goals.
5. Government OUTSIDER who has a history of solving problems and making things work. Unlike Washington.
Etc......
I was very happy with his overall stance on policy issues. Conservative. Get government out of the way and allow us to succeed.
The speech was light on specifics as most campaign rally speeches are. I liked what I heard enough to move him to the top of the stack and devote some time researching the details of his policy positions.
I highly recommend giving him a look and reading up on his policy positions. Then decide if you like him for the job.

I like the guy, his energy, and his honesty. But he lost my support when I watched him defend his support for TARP and bailouts in the last GOP debate. 
That is one issue I want more details on and will be researching.
I hope he gets grilled thoroughly in an interview by someone with some skills who will ask for details and ask the right questions.

In every meaning of the word. She's too smart for people to vote for her AND she's too smart to WANT to run because she knows what it involves. I think she's going to be perfectly happy doing whatever she chooses from here on out and as much as I'd love to vote for her I can't fault her for staying away.
