Reminds me of a guy I used to work with down in Mississippi some thirty or so years ago. Big ol' rough country boy, we would go to the Jackson Mets baseball games, sit in the rowdy section behind third base, drink Jack, watch the games and carry on - the team had three first-round draft choices in the outfield, including Darryl Strawberry, so there was actually some good baseball to see on top of it.
Anyway, he used to show up with some of the prettiest and best-mannered young women around, quiet, shy, exact opposite of what you'd expect from him.
One night we're out there at the game, he's got this sweet young thing with him who's said about three words all night and he looks out over the left-field fence.
"Full moon."
Nobody says anything.
"Puts me in a mind... to rut."
I about dropped my teeth, she just smiled and shook her head.
