Had 2 grandfathers, 2 uncles, a Dad and an older brother. NONE of them ever gave me the time of day and ALL lived with me or within 45 minutes of me. The 2 grandfathers and one uncle are now gone and I could tell you all I know about them in about 30 minutes total. 
Wow, that's tragic. I'm sorry, RutMan.

I have one uncle. (Very small family.) He is cool but I never see him any more. It's too bad. I should ask my dad why that is.

Thanks, I tried so hard to be a part of their lives, but it just wasn't what they wanted I guess.
I've spent majority of mine and my wife's 32+ years together in Tennessee because I'm closer to her family than my own.

That's awful, Rutman. Sometimes it seems I'm closer to my wife's family more than my own. Or at least their gatherings are more pleasant than mine.
