to properly install a windshield it does need a good bit of time to sit before the glue actually sets up.
big deal because that is what makes a good bit of the crash integrity to the car/truck itself.

Most of the newer pickups with ext cab have rolling rear windows. My FIL's 05 F150 has them and all of the new body style chevy's 07'-up have it. The old body styles don't.
Never heard of one blowing out like that though. I would think it was hit with something before the blowout, but who knows
