ahh sitting in the back of papaw's truck riding back to the house after a mornings' fishing ----not a care in the world an ice cold coke with peanuts in it and the wind whistling throuh my crew cut those truely were the good old days

Those days are gone. We got ,.02 apiece for them and I could usually pickup 8-10 between my house and the store. Drinks were a nickel, same for Moon Pies. Shotgun shells were a dime each for the high-brass.

salty peanuts in a small glassed bottle of ice cold coca cola, is a thing of the past, I would love to have one
My mother taught me about that when I was a kid. We used RC cola or Coca Cola. I was still doing it up until I quit drinking caffeine. Its not as good with decaf/diet

We always put salted peanuts in Mtn. Dew that was our lunch when we were working in the field.
