I was talking the other day with this fellow from north of the Mason-Dixon line about southern stuff. I told him about putting peanuts in a "cold drink", and how good it was.

He said "are you crazy, no one would put peanuts in a good drink". I said oh yea, you might want to try it some time!

salty peanuts in a small glassed bottle of ice cold coca cola, is a thing of the past, I would love to have one

Hey Chaney you can still get them. Wife and I usually just put them in the plastic diet coke bottles now. Works but sure aint the same.

I can still find the small cokes like the old original but they are in a fake plastic bottle, are the old original glass bottles around anywhere?

Gosh I remember going to dickson drive in and have peanuts in my coke. I miss those days and those bottles.

I buy Cokes in glass bottles at several gas stations/delis/bait shops around here. Right next to the peanut display at most.

That's the kind. Real glass, tiny bottles, have to use the opener on the side of the cooler to get to the good stuff inside. They're still around.
