Apparently some of us don't do so well with them. Took a couple hits behind the knee Friday and the bottom half my leg and foot has been the size of my thigh for a few days.

Never have to go to the doc, but wife sent me in tonight to drop britches and take a shot to the right cheek. Good times.

Looks like I'll be wearing flip flops or crocks to the office again tomorrow. \:\)

Ugh! That's what happens to me if a honey bee gets me on the foot.

I had a wasp land on dead center of my back a few days ago. I could not get it off and it stung me several times, would have been quite comical had there been a witness! Wasp hurt but don't bother me. Yellow jackets or honey bee's and I'm going to e.r.! \:\(

\:D \:D Yeah, could've been a yellow jacket. I was too busy dancing around too, just figured it was a wasp.

Most of us are lucky. I have a friend who HAS to carry a shot with her at all times everywhere she goes. If a wasp ever stings her she HAS to give herself the shot right away or she could die from it.

Myself I got a wasp sting on my right angle about 6 years ago and it hurt so bad I had to go to the doctor for a shot. It left a mark on my angle which I still have and it STILL itches every once in a while.

Got no love for the stinging things, but they are a part of every outdoorsmans life.
I wonder if a ThermaCell would keep them away?

They've gotten me a few times on the hand, and my whole arm has swollen up and I cant even bend my fingers.

I'm probably the only person you know that has been stung while they were sleeping....3 seperate occassions. TALK ABOUT AN ALARM CLOCK!!!

The old epi pen! \:D I got one of those, but I only have it in case of an anaphylactic reaction from my allergy injections that I used to get at home administered by my wife.

That last time I got stung by a wasp, which was last year, it got me right behind the right elbow and when the swelling set in my right forearm looked like popeye on spinach! \:D

Meat tenderizer and water paste. Put it on there and leave it. The sooner after the sting is more effective.

Do they still make a product called Denver's Sting Stopper? Seems it originated in Tennessee. Many claimed it worked, and at one time it was sold at Farmer's Co-ops.

I got an e-mail the other day saying if you tape a copper penny to the sting area, it will take the burn/sting out.
