All the new shows are out now and I've been recording and watching most of them. Some are good, some are junk. I don't have a problem with them telling who the sponsors are at the beginning and end. I also understand they have to have commercials during the breaks. But why do they have to shamelessly plug items during the show? I know that without sponsors their would be no show but dang why does it basically have to be a 30 minute commercial?

I can't stand the fact that they use namebrands instead of proper nouns. There is no such thing as a hunting related proper noun on these shows.

Good point.

I'd like to see how these sponsor contracts are written where the host is not allowed to use the nouns "bow", "binoculars", "arrows" etc, but must always refer to said nouns as brands names. Its really sad and desperate. I think the hunting industry overall has some of the most immature and blatant marketing strategies I can think of.

I agree. I'll still watch some of them, but it's downright annoying.

Haven't watched one in years and I doubt they have gotten any better. If they all went away tomorrow...I wouldn't be crying over it.

I know WHY they do it. Because you WATCH them.
Actually, that is why I don't watch them. Every once in awhile, I'll flip over there during a commercial on another channel and am quickly reminded why those shows suck so bad.
