Can't seem to find "THAT TRUCK"... what I can find is a bunch of idgits that want to sell me a truck.
It's a toss up for me as to what I want. Got to be extended cab and got to be a 4x4. I have a full size GMC now and I'm not real happy with it. Thought about a Toyota Tacoma.
I looked at some Fords today in Knoxville. Went to the Jeep place here in Kodak... the salesman there was an idgit. I did find out real quick I didn't want a Jeep. I guess he helped me with that.
The only thing I pull is my boat so the Tacoma may be the way to go.
What say you?

I have a Toyota Tacoma crew cab with 130k miles on it. Its been a good truck so far. Out of all the brands I would go with Toyota.

I have a 04 Tacoma Crew 4x4 that I purchased last July. It has 120,000 miles now and I love it. The bed on a crew cab is shorter than on a xtended cab: 5ft, 5in vs 6 ft

What kind of gas mileage do you guys get with the Tacoma?
Have you pulled anything with them?

well i got a 1995 ford ranger extended cab 4X4 4.0 engine and it pulls anything i want it too.i use it everyday and it gets good fuel mileage.but if you go with a ford ranger don't get the 3.0 engine in one.or you'll be sorry you did

The Fords get terrible gas mileage. I looked at them today and the 4x4 gets worse mileage than the full size.

Toyota all the way. Got an 04 Tundra crew bought new with 235k on it and an 08 Sequoia bought new with 102k on it. Both general maintenance only.

I had an 03 Tacoma doublecab 4x4 that got 20 mpg's. Went to full size Fords (150's & 250') and tried to go back to a Tacoma. Big mistake after getting used to all of that room my kids and I both about died. Kept it a month and went back to a fullsize. Currently have a F350 with tons of room and power. The new F150's with the 3.5L V-6 Ecoboost motor have a tow rating of 10,300 lbs. and show 18 - 22 on the mpg estimates. If I were in the market that's what I'd look at.
