Got my new hunting houses put up last weekend. 4x4 on 12' stilts. Built by an Amish guy in Ethridge, TN. $425 for one like mine. He builds other sizes as well.

You can't beat them for the price. Hope to get them sprayed with Thompson deck sealer this weekend.

The guy that builds them is Amish. So he doesn't use electricity or have a phone. If you're interested I can give you directions to his house. It's not very far off of Hwy 43.

Assuming youre coming from Nashville, take 65 south to Columbia. Take Hwy 43 south to Lawrenceburg. Before you get to Lawrenceburg you will come into a little community call Three Oaks. After you come into Three Oaks you will see a road to the left called East Edan Rd. Take it to the end. When you reach the end you will see a white church on your right. After the stop sign at the end of East Edan road continue straight and you will go another approx. 3/4 mile and you will see his sign on the left. If you reach another stop sign you have gone to far. Guys name is Mose Yoder.

Here are the directions from Google maps:

Take exit 53 to merge onto TN-396 W/Saturn Pkwy toward Columbia/Spring Hill

Merge onto TN-6 Scenic S/US-31 S/Main St via the ramp to Columbia
Continue to follow TN-6 Scenic S/US-31 S

Turn right onto US-43 S

Turn left onto E Edan Rd

Continue straight onto Cross Rd/Mt Horeb Rd
Destination will be on the left

Hope this helps.

Glad to help. Was he able to sell you one or did he have to put you on the waiting list?

I just drove by. He had several customers and I was in a hurry. I'm probably gonna go with a 4x6 house. Will stop by and talk to him when I got more time.

He built both but we had to make a few design changes. He usually only builds them on 8 ft. stilts but I wanted mine 12 ft. so I had him build the top and bottom separate and then we put the two together.

This will let me take the top off and set it on the ground or on shorter stilts if ever needed.

2 Piece glass. They latch together in the center and slide apart.
