No clue, just got one myself. Hard enough just learning to use the phone. I'm in the same boat. Just went from the blackberry curve to the droid pro. Had it almost 2 weeks now and getting used to it but the first day or three I wanted to throw it in the lake. I haven't added any apps but have been told to be careful as they drain your battery if on all the time.

Being a reformed "arcade junkie", I have refused to download any games on my last three phones. My Android is a tool, not a time wasting toy, that is taken care of by TnDeer.
Like trealtree, I also have three batteries for my phone (I got mine cheaper than his). I should be powered up for the all day hunts.
Apps: BackCountry Navigator, Super Compass, Battery Dr to Save, K-Love, Photobucket, Ten Most Wanted, Bible, Instant Heart Rate, Latitude (already loaded on my phone when new).

Pandora. If you have an aux jack in your car stereo, you can plug a cord from your phone into it and listen to Pandora through your car speakers.
Google Maps or Mapquest. Just in case you need directions.
The Weather Channel widget. You can add weather for different places.
Convertpad...you can get any convertor calculator. Shows how many ounces are in a pound, hertz are in a tetrahertz, etc. Pretty geeky stuff, but cool.
There's tons of apps. Just look around and add stuff you're interested in.

My battery lasts all day and I use it quite a bit and have several apps. I deleted the task killer after doing some research and learned that they really aren't necessary.
Turn off gps and bluetooth when not needing them will help battery life.
