Years ago I saw a little truck in an ad from a used car lot, and arranged to meet up with my dad and drive down there. The whole trip took nearly two hours, and when we got there the place was closed. But the truck was right there on the front line, so we looked it over. Turned out it was unlocked, so we checked out the interior. The owner pulls up and gets out of his car screaming at us "WHAT ARE YOU DOING GET OUTTA HERE!" We kept it real cool, but he didn't care how far we'd driven to look at his truck, and after a few minutes of trying to talk to him about the vehicle, we did as he wished. Nothing like being flexible or courteous as a small business owner.

Probably would have turned it off and returned the keys in the morning. My 2001 F150 (4.6) has 180k+ on it and is still running good. My dad has a 2001 F150 (5.4) with about 140k on it and it still pulls the boat back and forth to the lake.

Alexander Toyota in Franklin changed the oil in my wife's Camry and left it on the public part of the lot with the keys in it, all four windows rolled all the way down, and my briefcase and computer on the back seat. I made it clear I was not happy with that and they promised it would not happen again.

Next time (they gave us a couple free oil changes when we bought it), I locked my briefcase and computer in the trunk. Came back to get it, there it was, keys in it and all four windows wide open.

Every time they send me one of those "time to trade in" notices I call up and tell them why I will never buy anything from them again, ever, but the junk mail keeps on coming.

Been a pretty good car, though, just crossed 100K with no problems.

Landers Ford in Collierville just hung up on my friend. And he was being absolutely nice. He just asked if they could price match an offer he got from another dealer. The salesman seriously just hung up on him!
They didn't know they were on speaker phone with a room full of us, I guess.
Anyway, guess where any of us WILL NEVER buy a truck from?
The sales guy could have just said, "Sir, I'm afraid I can't match that price." or something. But slamming the phone down was just horrible customer service.

Whats with all this bad mouthing Fords after talking them up for not taking Government handouts when all other big car companies were taking them? $;\)$

You probably got a one in a few bad one. I never had a problem with mine. You are right about the dealer here, I would not buy a candybar from them. I always get a buddy at another dealer get what I want or go out of town.
service department sucks here and 2 others around jackson

Just called and talked to the owner... he did everything but call me a liar in the beginning. Said I couldn't have got anyone on the number I called. Finally he must have seen the light and said he would take care of it. Didn't ask me anything else and said thanks and Hung up. Just lost a possible customer.
