Ok guys I need some help. My old Stihl weed trimmer has been giving me problems for about the past year. I bought a cheap yardman to make due for now. I hate it. I am gonna put the old one in the shop but I am thinking about buying another one. What are some that yall like? I am definately looking for a straight shaft.

I have had several including gas and electric none were all that great. Since my wife has little spots she likes to trim and its too hard for her to start the gas one I use now I got her a little black and decker cordless one. Darned if it isnt the best one yet. Battery doesnt last long enough but it does come with two and I have another from my hedge trimmer.
Probably not big enough for what your looking for but I am darn impressed.

Echo is the only way to go. $220 model is more than any homeowner will need. A 5 year warranty to boot.

I been using Echo for last 15 years.
got two of them, they start up only with a couple of pulls
no problems, work great, run strong. No headaches

I like my Stihl pretty well. If price isnt a problem, look at Shindaiwa, Stihl, Husqvarna to name a few

I hear Crappie Luck has a goat that might not be too fond of her new digs....

I've run Echo and Stihl both with good results. If weight is an issue, I'd go with an Echo, as they seem to be a hair lighter. If power is an issue, I'd go with a Stihl.
