I have never dealt with a company as In-Ept as Fed-Ex!!! I try hard to avoid companies that ship fed-ex, because everytime it is a fiasco. But, I ordered my daughter a new phone and they only shipped fed-ex. I knew it would be a mess...guess what???? I was right! Had it shipped 3 day. Today was third day. The package had to be signed for. It was an inconvenience, but we kept someone at home all day waiting on package. Finally at 6:55 we left for church. I left a signed note stating to leave package, that the note (with my signature on it)could stand as my signature and if that didn't work for him to call us at church and my wife would meet him. Got home - no phone - note on door from Fed-ex gut sayin he doesn't have time to meet us today. He will deliver tomorrow by 7pm! So...third day was paid for, and end up not getting third day. We are leaving to go out of town tomorrow. Called fed-ex, they can't guarantee when it will get to the house...sometime before 7pm (yeah right). I am sorry to rant, but EVERY TIME it is a hassle with Fed-ex. I have had hundreds of packages shipped UPS and NEVER had one problem. Oh well...I guess the Lord is trying to teach me patience...but I am a slow learner!

Ive actually had more trouble with UPS than with FedEx. Not really with the delivery of either, but UPS has damaged several of my deliveries over the years. But overall, they're both pretty good. You must have a lemon of a driver.

I lost it on Fedex when the driver didn't deliever my package because "I couldn't find the address." I noticed the status on the online system showed weird so I called at 1130 and was like what happened "oh the driver couldn't find your house (it I clearly marked on a busy street) we will deliver by monday at 7pm."
So I just kept repeating: so you're telling me I have to go all weekend without a part I need because your driver didn't do his job.
I said it about 7 times and she never would have him try again that day.

I guess FedEx wins the JDPower Customer Satisfaction Award plus a multitude of others every year because they suck so bad.

Too bad I don't get a vote. I don't know if I have ever had a good experience with their home delivery. Funny thing is , I never had much problem with them when I used them at the workplace. But their home delivery stinks! At least around here.

I hear the same thing from my relatives who live in rural Alabama. Several times my brother has been told that they couldn't find his house. He's a welder and has a huge stainlness steel sign with his name over the driveway. You'd have to be blind or drunk to miss it. FedEx is great here in the Memphis area from my experience though. Guess it's good to be near the headquarters.

I have had problems with UPS and FEDEX, also had great service from both. I would suspect it has alot to do with the drivers and their GPS equipment. I got the couldnt find address thing from both UPS and FEDEX when I moved into the house here, suggested the drivers update their GPS as it was a new address on a new street...packages both delivered the next day. When they tell me they could not find an existing address I get a little irate.

I guess I have been very fortunate over the years, I have never had a major problem with either.

I always have both deliver to my business address. I know the UPS guy and he will acctually put stuff inside my garage instead of leaving it out in the open if my wife orders something and doesn't use my work address.

It all depends on the driver.
At my old place, had a Fedx guy who was great. My lab would bust out of the house and run get in his truck. The first time it would happen I asked him to back up the drive, pull forward and yell "we are home". He did it and my lab bailed out of the truck and ran to the door. Dude thought it was hilarious and looked forward to going for "a drive" with my dog if he escaped and got in his truck. Guy always put my packages under the covered front porch and tried to get his deliveries done early. He even started carrying dog treats and was disappointed if the dog didn't escape and go for a ride.
Company I was doing business with changed to Airborne express. First driver was good. Second "no speeekeee no engleeeee" driver sucked. He put a shipment of wedding photos up against the garage door IN THE RAIN when I had a covered front porch 30' away. I ranted all the way up to the district supervisor.
Next delivery..... garage door. Garage door was in plain sight of the street too.
Had to change from one of the best photo labs in the country one with slower service so I wouldn't have a job get ruined or disappear from the poor delivery services.
Fedx guy at our place now is great. UPS guy sucks. He came to do a delivery and actually took a Fedx package off our covered front porch and carried it around to the side door and left it on the stoop in the rain with the UPS delivery !(watched it on security cam) Mo-ron.
Our USPS contracted carrier is hit or miss. She once spent 10 minutes strapping a small package to our mailbox with 11 rubber bands. Funny thing was she was trying to avoid pulling up the drive to within 10' of our front door and getting out of her car. It was raining lightly and she got soaked wasting time with those stupid rubber bands. I watched the whole thing and walked 150' to the mail box, retrieved the package and was a whole lot dryer than ol lazy.

We work on FedEx's road tractors where I work. They call us up and tell us how much they are gonna pay for each job we do. They will not pay a dime more either. Pisses me off, next time I ship something I'm gonna tell them how much I wanna pay and see how they like that.
