I have gotten onto man several times for leaving the headphones for his xbox and ipod out.
The cat has chewed up two sets of xbox headphones and one set of ipod headphones.

I left my ipad charger plugged in last night... like I always do. ;\)

Anyway the cat chewed the cord into in 2 different places and mutilated the rest of the cord.

My question is HOW did the cat not get electra.... electre.... shocked to death?

Had one that thought it would be fun to chew the wires on a Christmas tree light string...He let out a sound never heard before ( I think it was cat for crap) and came flying out from under the tree. Didn't seem to have any lasting effects but he never chewed any more wires.

That would be "electrocuted". \:\)
Why the cat wasn't is beyond me. Probably because they have 9 lives, probably because they are evil. I don't know.

the charger cord comes from the transformer which you plug into the wall... it takes 110 volts AC and drops it to only a few volts DC to charge the device. You could stick your tongue on the bare wires and it might taste sour (try a battery) but it wouldn't give you any real shock.
