I wonder if more get run over on the road or hit when the farmer is cutting hay or just cleaning up with his bush hog?

A friend of the wife rescued one when its mother got hit. She's bottle feed'n it right now, and try'n to pawn it off on us.
I know it's wrong, but kick'n the idea around anyway.
