I just picked up my new chainsaw, went with a Husky 455 Rancher. It was between it and a Stihl MS290 and I just liked the feel of the husky better and didnt care for the quick release caps on the Stihls gas and oil tanks. Havent cut anything with it yet but I fired it up when I got home to check it out. Man this thing will scream.

That 455 will run a 24 inch bar no problem. With a 20 inch bar, you can't stop it. You'll be happy with your new saw.

Yep. You will love it! I bought one this winter. I cut about 20 rick of wood with it over the winter! It's like a wood-eating shark!

Stihl had a recall on their gas caps for their trimmers...I would bet the same caps are on the chainsaws.

I have those 'flip up and twist' caps on my MS260 Stihl. I have trouble with them sometimes. Sometimes they go right on other times it don't make sense, you have to fool with them for 5 minutes. Plus, it's a recessed port that the cap screws down into. Added concern for saw chips getting into my oil reservoir. I really hate that design.

I don't understand why they couldn't leave those alone. I never had a problem with the spin off caps.
