We bought a new Toyota Corolla Sport in March of last year, i tried getting her to get white when we bought but she liked the charcoal gray and i did to but i knew it would show dirt and every little scratch. She finally started complaining a little over a month ago about it when she found the 2nd scratch on the vehicle. We talked about trading but i never thought we would end up doing it. I told her the only way i would is if we went with an suv. So we got to looking at the Jeep Compass and Ford Escape. We decided on the Compass because it has more room than the Escape. We bought it from Herman Jenkins in Union City, Tn and ill be the first to say i cant stand a car dealer, but the guy i delt with was very nice and i will definately go back to him one day. He was the typical car dealer, lying about saying he wasnt making any money off the deal but i pretty much told him i didnt want to hear it because if thats the case they wouldnt be in business. Other than that i would highly recommend him. They didnt lowball our trade in, they actually payed it off and we got 2k more to put down on this ride from the trade in. Our payment went up 7 bucks but insurance dropped 10 bucks and got the same amount of years financed as the Corolla.

If anyone is looking for a good used car they have ours over there. its got 21000 miles on it and will flat out fly for a 4cyl

Good deal. Everytime we trade, when it comes time to talk money, my wife leaves, says I'm rude and hard on them. I don't think so....

I just dont like a liar and they all lie when they say there not making any money or most of the other BS they talk. I will say this was the best dealing ive had buying a vehicle. But with this one it was more of a "what can i do to get you to buy this car" rather than "well heres what we'll do for you". thats what i liked about them.

I guess I'm different when it comes to dealerships. I know what I want for my vehicle and what I want to pay for the other vehicle. After the test drive, I always tell them I want the best offer all the way around so we're not wasting anybodies time. We either agree or I leave. I'm not sitting at a dealership for hours. They want you to do that. That way you feel like you've got all this time invested and you feel obligated to trade.

Sounds like a good deal. Everyone I know who has owned a jeep loved it and it lasted. Glad the dealer didnt give you too hard of a time.

Heh about a year ago I bought a Honda Accord ..really good car. Put just over 20,000 miles on it in that year. Anyway with Honda values pretty high and a rebate on Escape I went in and talked. Ended up getting 3,000 less for the Accord than I paid for it. Couldn't resist making the move to the Escape. Didnt look at the Compass but passed on the Grand Cherokee cause of the gas mileage.
