Has any one eat there, how is the food? I will be going to Arkansas this weekend and thought about stopping here for dinner on my way thru.

Never have eaten there, but I've heard it's good. Also, it was on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives not long ago. They have a website too, if you want to check it out.

I've never heard of it before I saw that episode. I've never been, basically because it's in a part of town I never frequent. One of these days, I'll end up trying it out. I like to take customers to the Cozy Corner on N. Parkway, but they're close to work.

I've been there...it's pretty good. Tough decision on where to stop and eat BBQ when coming thru Memphis. I would either go to Tom's BBQ on Getwell(this place is awesome), Jim Neely's Interstate BBQ (BBQ spaghetti), Central BBQ...can't go wrong with alot of places

Its all about what you want when it comes to BBQ. I usually tell people the following:
Ribs: Memphis BBQ Shop BBQ Nachos: Central Pulled Pork and BBQ Spaghetti: Neely's Interstate and Payne's and Cozy Corner (Payne's and Cozy Corner are two of the most underrated.)
The most overrated BBQ in Memphis is The Rendevouz. Tourist trap with ribs that taste like sawdust.
As for diners, I think 3 Angels is the best in town.

If you haven't been to Tom's you gotta check this place out...rib tips are awesome. Pulled pork is as good or better as anyones in town real good sauce too. Haven't had even close to everything on the menu but everything seems to be good there. He puts a Greek twist on alot of stuff. Got be thinking about some BBQ I might have to hit one of these places up for lunch

I'll have to check Tom's out. -haven't been there. Its about 15 minutes from my house if Lamar/Airways intersection isn't backed up and there's no heavy semi traffic on Lamar once I cross 240. Those two factors can easily double the trip time....

Love that Pazole at 3 Angels, but wife has been there for supper a couple times and said it wasn't as good as their lunch for some reason.
I've never been much of a fan of Central BBQ, but I guess it's all personal opinion. Love Cozy Corner, BBQ Shop on Madison, and Neely's. Hate that they didn't re-open Public Eye after it burned about 10 years ago.

Yep....except Cozy Corner's shoulder is sliced, not pulled. It is a lot like roast beef in texture. Their sauce is awesome.
