just got home from the doctor

met with the doctor today to see what our course of action is going to be.he said,its cancer,its huge and its hyper-aggressive.he said theres no way around it i will be having surgery but after some tests next week we will know whay type,laproscopic or full on gut me like a fish.monday im going back to ut for a full body scan.this is were it got ugly.if theres no signs that the tumor has migrated into the bone or other organs there is a real good success rate by just removing it with part or all of the kidney,if its migrated elsewhere and worse case is into the bone then its terminal.he did remark that this tumor is different than most he has seen.most are shaped like a grapefruit but mine has fingers coming off of it and he said it has the appearance of a rag youve rung the water out of.he says a tumor like mine poses some real challenges.i got a bunch of tests to do next week and am scheduled back with him again on the 29th to see what if anything they can do.all i can do is hope that the tests show it contained in the kidney where they can get it all if not i hope i can leave this world with poise,grace and my dignity in tact.
me and gwen decided that anthony our youngest finally needed to know so we just talked to him about it.he took it better than i expected and i did sugar coat it a little.i told him we would talk again after the next doctor appointment.
