Anyway, I did the math, and I could join SSA shooting range in Lakeland for $600 (1 year membership) and then purchase a M1 Grand from the CMP for $400 and still spend less than buying one for a excellent deal at a gun show.


It appears you could join The Garand Collectors Association (http://www.thegca.org/) for $25 and that would satisfy the affiliation requirements.
