I never was one for outdoor symphonics. I prefer it in the Schermerhorn.

I kinda liked the idea of on the lawn. But in a gym. Talk about acoustics that suck. Besides, my back just can't bleachers with no back.
My neice is first chair oboe with the Boston Pops and she got me listening to some of her tapes. Seeing as how I grew up on operas, dad was a fanatic, I know a tad about clssical music and enjoy some of it, just not enough to sit on a freakin bleacher.

A bleacher? That's wrong. That's the opposite of class.
Back in the city, they'd have jazz in the park. It used to be a good time but then it got really crowded and I realized when I didn't have a couple of glasses of wine, I really didn't like much jazz. Dixieland or anything else peppy, yeah. Whiny saxophone droning depressing stuff I imagine I would hear in an elevator if they still played music in an elevator, not so much.

We have an open air jazz festival in a small town near here every year. Good stuff. Wife and I go every year.
I listen to what use to be country and western on the radidio but refuse to go to a live concert but I regularly attend ope air jazz and symphony concerts. Guess I am sick. We have a local radio station that plays the old C/W and I listen to them. The modern stuff sucks. Either it is rock or the singer has such a bad redneck accent you cain't understaiyand him.

I grew up going to open air concerts. There are stories of me in a bassinet on the lawn at concerts in the park. I especially remember Leon Redbone when I was about 9 because of his white suit and hat. There's something about sitting on grass with a warm breeze and a song wafting about. Ahhh...good memories...
