It is no wonder they drafted Westlake so high. He only hit three home runs to send Vandy to the WS. They weren't gimme homers, either.
I'll decide tongiht but I am pondering flying to Omaha for next weekend's games. If I can get press creds, I think I'll go. I am locked in for the LLWS August 18-28.

It's only about 15 hours but that stinkin drive from SL to KC sucks.

It's only about 15 hours but that stinkin drive from SL to KC sucks.
It's not too bad if you sleep the whole way. I've seen some huge deer between KC and St. Joe. If you are familiar with that area, when you cross the state line into IA, at Hamburg IA, exit 1, we hunted all the river bottoms on the left side of the interstate on both sides of the river. I hear Hamburg is underwater.

I know exactly where you are talking about. We normally got off on HWY 2 to Lincoln when going out there. I've seen some good ones on HWY 2.

We had the river bottom from Nebraska City back leased and a big piece of bottom on the IA side. I think they said the levee was underwater.
