We have a door that gets left open way too often. Once inside, you step around a corner so you can't really see that it isn't closed. Does anyone know if there is a device that will alarm if a door is left open too long....say after a minute or two like many refrigerators do? I have done some searching and can't find anything.

I know such a thing exists but I don't know what it's called. A friend of mine has one in his house. It attaches to the door. When you open his front door it beeps. If it stays open it beeps every 30 seconds or so until you shut the door or turn it off. It's not a quiet beep either. It fills the house and could probably wake you out of a decent sleep.
I'll ask him where he got it.

Door Guard MA401
Do you need to know when a door is left open for too long? The Door Guard will allow the door to be opened for one minute with no alarm, but will begin alarming after one minute and will increase the sense of urgency of the alarm as the door is left open for a longer amount of time.
