I used to use radios with a couple of friends I hunted with, but now hunt mostly by myself.

still use them because cell phone doesn't pick up in some of my areas. only bad thing is we pick up other people talking on them.

yeah i know how that is i had to tell other people go to a diffrent channel becuase we are on speical business and looking for osme one LOL and it works everytime

I use marine handheld radios when hunting in TN. Many places that I hunt in the mountains there is no phone reception.The marine radio have better reception at longer ranges.

On some of the draw hunts my brothers-in-law and myself go on, texting can be "spotty" so we use the radios instead

We still use ours there motorolas with a 10 mile range I think but we hunt mostly hilly a thick woods so they wont reach hardly that far but they will get out there pretty far.
