Cool story and great pics too.
Btw, is that Hernando County?
If so, I was just there this week (Lake Lindsey) visiting my grandparents' gravesite.
That is right and I know exactly where the cemetery is located. It is across the road from the church and the lake. Pretty old cemetery. Hernando County is a great place to live. What was your grandparents names? My wife family has been in the county for 90 years.

Stoner, that is New Eden Methodist. My grandparent used to live on the same county road about 2miles west. It was a large L-shaped ranch house with the a screened in inground pool. They bought it from Dawson realty, I think it may have even been one of the Dawson's personal residence.
Anyway, they were Leon and Olive Ramsey and retired there from Dunedin in the late 1970s.
Mr Therl Bean used to take me and grandfather bass fishing in Lake Lindsey behind the church. We bass fished while a 12ft gator sunned on a log just a few feet from us. I caught a 4lb largemouth when I was 7 years old in there.
My grandfather remarried after my grandmother passed. He married a widow Mary Van Ness in Hernando (city) over in Citrus Co.
A little confusing, Brooksville is the county seat of Hernando Co but Hernando (city) is in Citrus Co.
Lol, small world for sure.

There is a Ramsey family that has been in the county forever. I know the house you are talking about. I have fished Lake Lindsey a few times, it does have some nice bass in it. It has a lot of lily pads and cover. I do not think the Dawson ever owned that house but I maybe mistaken. The Dawson and Self family live not far from Lake Lindsey on Chinsegut Hill.
