with all my bad luck lately, my son passed his engineering test and is now a certified engineering intern, the first step to a professional engineer. on top of that he starts his first nuclear engineering job in oak ridge next week, and they are going to work around his final semester at UT since he only has 3 hours to complete his degree. thats some real good news.

Congrats to him! I know first hand that engineering school and the FE exam can be extremely strenuous and time consuming. Best of luck to your son; it sounds like he has got a great future ahead of him!!

Congrats! I know there were a lot of dumb people that took the FE on the same day I did......because I passed.
I breezed through the first portion, and feel like I aced it. All but christmas-treed the second portion though. I might as well not even have showed up for that one. I did the "general" test, adn 9 questions out of 10 in that portion were completely unrelated to anything I ever studied. But it was probably better than the Civil portion, which forcused primarily on Environmental stuff.

Congrats. Just knew I had failed the FE exam when I took it. Never felt better when I found out I passed, even better when I know our Mech Eng dept did better than the Elec dept. Rates were both in the 90%'s, but we beat them by 1 or 2 percent. PE exam (at least for me) was much easier than the FE. Doors will open wide when he has the PE cert. on the wall, and hopefully $$$ increase as well.
