yeah I plan to once I get some more time and a stand in an area where I can. I dont really have any trees in my subdivision.

I have been shooting on a downward slope.

I would love to do that if the opportunity arises. I would have to get more practice at higher yardage and my other pins sighted in.

gotcha. I am thinking about maybe going out and maybe shooting with some people tomorrow at one of the local pro shops close to where I work. They supposedly have a shoot on thursday evenings. It would be a way to get some practice and pointers in I reckon.

Not bad at all. My suggestion, not that you asked for it, or that's its worth very much, is that you find an experienced archer who will give you some pointers on establishing good form and technique. It is often difficult to correct poor, or flawed, form/technique. Speaking for all of Tndeer, continue practicing and share more video

There is a new archery shop on Hwy 321 next door to Ledbetter Electronics in Maryville. They have an outdoor range with about 10 targets set-up. You can get a year membership for something like $40, or daily for $5. It's not a 3-d course, but if you're in Maryville, it's close.

Good shooting. If I were you I would look at getting a new target though. Those hay bales are rough on the fletchings. It will save you a lot of trouble.

Yes we have noticed that. We are using a thick foam now that stops much better. I cant even see where I hit most time with the bales cause I always have pass throughs.

I usually shoot there once or twice a week with a buddy. If you see a couple guys shooting longbows, come over and introduce yourself. We're normally not there until late, 7 or 8.

Good shooting! Remember to bend at the waist when shooting from up high. The tendency is to drop your bow down with your arms instead of keeping your draw stance and bending at the waist. ;\)

yep will be doing that also with the aid of a harness. It seems from a height 15+ft you will always have the arrow entering at an angle. Seems like it will be harder to penetrate the lung / heart area at a good entrance angle.

well the woman and I ended up going by there yesterday for their thursday shoot and ice cream. I met a bunch of new people and shot with them all. I ended up shooting on the range with them with unknown yardage targets, and I must say...I did fairly well to be out there with guys who have been shooting a while and I less than a whole week!

I see a dead deer in your future!

I killed my Black Hole 6 times yesterday. We can't practice too much, as Sept 24 @ 5:55 AM will be here before we know it!

I will need to work on setting my other pins on my sight. The only one I know for sure that is sighted is my 20. The other 2 are just wherever...haha...so that made it kind of a challenge for me as well to shoot on a range guessing unknown yardage, and anything other than 20yds. Yesterday was the first I shot anything more than 20. I was fairly surprised. haha
