I agree with ya Duck....to bad it ends up this way more often then not with someone bringing up something that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
I just have a hard time accepting someone that trys to control others lives yet don't want to accept the fact not everyone thinks the same.

Okay. I don't like it either and think it's stupid, but it's a private school. Don't go there and don't subscribe to their beliefs.
If they get federal funding then fine. Pull it. I don't think they deserve it after this.
As a private school they can do whatever they want. Good post. This reminds me of people raising heck because private country clubs only let certain people in. It's a PRIVATE club. They should be allowed to let in only those they want. But do those PRIVATE CLUBS get PUBLIC MONEY???? This college does get PUBLIC MONEY.
Can you please provide some proof that Goshen College gets Public money?
I have been trying to find this info but I can't.

The place to air out minor differences IMO is NOT out in the open. There IS a fine line between disagreement and personal attacks in some cases.

So your post holds no validity.
His post holds as much as yours. A) you don't have to attend the game at their stadium B) take your own band, boom box, whatever, and play it yourself!
Not hardly. He based his post on their religious freedoms. This is NOT remaining inside their school. They are attempting to spread their ideals on others outside their community.
That gives those here a dog in this fight.

Did any of you even bother to read the article, or are you just spewing typical Pavlovian responses. Because if you had read the article you would know how misdirected and foolish your internet-anger is: it's a MENNONITE school. They have never been patriotic for RELIGIOUS reasons. RELIGIOUS FREEDOMS one of the founding tenets of our Constitution.
I have mixed emotions about this issue, but since pass-thru is currently committed to and engaged in defending the religious freedom of which he speaks above, I give his opinion more weight than the ones posting on this topic who have never served.

When they try to spread their beliefs outside their community, they step on others religious freedoms.
Do as they wish, but if on their religious beliefs, then keep inside their religion.

Go back and read YOUR posts, YOU are the one that tried to put words in others posts with your first post. Then YOU attacked me on your next post after I asked who posted they wanted to get the govt in involved. YOU are the one that started the fight like you wanted. Just like you tried to start the a fight on the other forum doing the same thing. That is how you do it by trying to put words in others posts where they never said those things. That is your history here and the other forum.

Go back and read Ben's second and third posts on this thread, there is the personal attacks. Before him nobody attacked anybody, we just talked about the school. Ben made the personal attacks.
Over on the other forum Ben's very first post on the subject was a personal attack on me and had nothing to do with the subject at hand. And over there he says he never called me any names over here or there. The funny thing is every time he does call me a name I point it out in the next post.
