X2!!! I did the samething with my knucleheaded chocolate lab to keep him from eating through walls, window sills, doors, etc..., as others have said you are almost through the chewing phase and with proper chew objects your problem will be corrected almost instantly. He is a beautiful lab by the way!

I have a 3 yr old yellow lab. He quit chewing at about 1 and a half years. He's just bored because he's smart and spends a lot of time alone. Get him something tasty to chew and he'll leave the house alone.

Beautiful dog. He is close to getting done with chewing. Give him room to run, toys to occupy his time and take him for a walk or two a day.

X3 Get him several different chew toys and rawhide chews.

Also, mine stays in his crate while we are away. We are able to let him out at lunch, though.

you could make a dog lot away from the house. leave him in the lot when u are not home. that keeps him from wandering and getting into trouble.

good looking dog!

if only I could afford another.

Mine is 2 1/2 now and luckly has not chewed up anything other than her bones, I do have a couple hundred in bones at this point though.
she still loves to chew on her bones but knows the difference between hers and mine.

Wayne hope he works out great for you if you take him.
