Getting pumped for Saturday

Well we are on our family vacation now, stopped at relatives in Virginia, headed to my grandparents in PA tomorrow, and will stay there till Saturday when we will head out to New Jersey to stay for a week by the beach in Cape May.

I guess TNdeer is my bit of Tennessee while we stay for so long in the northeast $;\)$

I'm pumped for the beach, and can you guess what I will be doing there. Water being cold, I won't be swimming much. Sitting out in the sun is just boring to me. I have with me three rods and all my fishing tackle. My goal is a keeper fluke (18 inch minimum limit). Hope I get some good ones this year, I don't want any more of that dogfish/skate crap that I usually catch out there.

After the beach, we're headed back to PA for another week, and I will probably buy a 7-day tourist fishing license to pass the time while we are there.

Also brought the bike along so I will log quite a few miles too. At the beach we basically park the car and leave it for the week and then walk everywhere (or bike in my case).

Just thought I would share. I'll still be on Tndeer every now and then and will post pics of those surf caught fish and whatever else is worth sharing. I bought a new camera which is waiting for me in PA so I can't wait to get into that and take some good pics.

Hope you have a blast. We vacationed to New Hampshire and Maine in 09. My wife was born in New Hampshire. I personally did not enjoy it, but I'm used to vacations in Florida. Daytona Beach is like my home away from home.

Hopefully it will be. It's the fluke I really want, but I would be very happy with a keeper striper too. Minimum length for the stripers is 28 inches so a lot would probably be throwbacks. I want to fish for food this time too so I'm hoping for some keepers.
